The showbiz hit during the COVID-19 pandemic. Since March, the productions were shut down due to the spike in the coronavirus case. It was only in August when film and TV productions started to resume. Many big-budget films are yet to go on the floor. Meanwhile, Bollywood celebrities pivoted to develop new hobbies, go back to older routines and lifestyle before their lives got busy.
Actors Tara Sutaria and Athiya Shetty surely turned to books during the quarantine period. In the latest cover of Cosmopolitan India, Tara Sutaria looks every bit of a diva in an all-yellow ensemble. She makes a sharp statement as she dons a chic and comfortable pant-suit. During the conversation with the magazine, “I’ve gone back to doing charcoal sketching. I used to do it growing up, but the last three years have been crazy, work-wise. It was good to get back to it. I’m singing in one of my next movies, and I'm very excited about that, so I’ve also started pursuing music more fiercely now. I’ve also found a new love for cooking and baking. And I’m told I’m really good and should start a restaurant of my own. So, I’m seriously considering that!”
Speaking of the most hopeless and romantic thing she has done, she added, “You know, I am the kind of person who wants to make every day really romantic, not wait for a special occasion. And I find the old-fashioned things more appealing and more personal. I like writing letters, sending flowers, gifting them a book that I really like... that kind of stuff. I’m reading The 50 Greatest Love Letters Of All Time right now, and I keep taking down notes.”
Athiya Shetty also spoke to Cosmopolitan India and how she is spending time in quarantine. “Another one of Athiya’s great joys is books. “I like autobiographies!” she says. “I just finished Michelle Obama’s Becoming. I had watched the Netflix series, but I really wanted to read the book, too. Now I’m reading Jay Shetty’s Think Like A Monk...he just sent it to me,” she shares. And what’s on her binge-watch list? “I’ve seen so much content off-late...everything that has come out, I have seen it! I binge-watched Sex And The City and F.R.I.E.N.D.S and then I went to another complete extreme and watched Paatal Lok. So yeah, it has been a mixed bag of content,” she said.
