Chetan Bhagat calls Uorfi Javed an example of “distraction”; says our youth sees her photos while they are in bed

Former Bigg Boss OTT contestant and internet sensation, Uorfi Javed is well-known for her quirky sense of fashion. However, her fashion ideas often make her the target of trolling, both online and offline. Though Uorfi seems not to be bothered by online trolls, many times known personalities pass on their opinion. This time, it's author Chetan Bhagat.

Chetan Bhagat recently discussed Uorfi as he attended the forum of Sahitya Aaj Tak. While speaking to the portal, Bhagat said that the youth - especially men- spend most of their time scrolling through the photos of women on social media. He also cited her as an example of youth being distracted from their goals.

As per a video shared by the portal on their verified social media handle, Chetan says, “Phone has been a great distraction for the youth, especially the boys, spending hours just watching Instagram reels. Everyone knows who Uorfi Javed is.”

The novelist further added, “What will you do with her photos? Is it coming in your exams or you will go for a job interview and tell the interviewer that you know all her outfits?” As he continued, Bhagat stated that it was not even Uorfi’s fault as she is trying to make her career. He asserted that people are guarding the borders and then there is a section of young boys, who sees her photos while they are in the bed.

Chetan Bhagat concluded by saying, “Today, she has uploaded a photo wearing an outfit with two phones, have you seen it? Many have seen it already. It gets viral faster than the news.”

It is worth mentioning here that Uorfi Javed has not responded to Chetan Bhagat’s comment, so far. Talking about Uorfi, in an interview with Bollywood Hungama recently, she opened up about her fashion choices while admitting that she does “feel uncomfortable in her clothes” sometimes. However, as she is comfortable in her body, she does not shy away from experimenting with her outfits.
