We had also just started out and had done Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar (1992), Khiladi (1992) etc. Yeh film ke baad Shah Rukh saab hum se juud gaye. We did so many films with him and we have had a 100% success record with him! The music of all our films was a hit.”

Besides, Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, Shah Rukh Khan and Jatin-Lalit collaborated on Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa (1994), Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), Yes Boss (1997), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani (2000), Mohabbatein (2000), Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001) and Chalte Chalte (2003).

When asked if he remembers his first meeting with Shah Rukh Khan, Jatin Pandit replied, “Yes. We met him during the shooting of Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman. The ‘Loveria’ song was being shot. We told Aziz bhai, ‘Yeh ladka naya nahi lagta. Bahut talented hai’. Aziz replied, ‘Haan, isse bahut achi acting aati hai’.”

The song ‘Loveria’ stood out in Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman’s album. When asked how lyricist Vinoo Mahendra came up with such a unique term, Jatin Pandit revealed, “Vinoo Mahendra used to add such terms in the song. And the song goes as ‘Love Love Love Loveria Hua’. The repetition of ‘Love Love Love’ was suggested by producer G P Sippy. He said that ‘Love pe emphasize karoge toh pata chalega ki love ka song hai. Warna theek se Loveria word ka impact nahi padega’. We liked his suggestion and added it. It was G P Sippy saab’s experience that worked in our favour.”
