Cuttputlli Trailer Launch: Akshay Kumar addresses films flopping at box office after Raksha Bandhan debacle: 'It is our fault, my fault; I have to make changes'
Right after the release of Raksha Bandhan which has failed to leave a mark at the box office, Akshay Kumar is back but this time in cop avatar. The actor is starring in Cuttputlli, which is Hindi remake of Ratsasudu. Hindi films have been failing at the box office that even superstars can't bring the audience to the theatres. Akshay Kumar, whose last film Raksha Bandhan didn't fail to create magic on screen, addressed the issue at the trailer launch.
While speaking to the media, Akshay addressed the issue of films failing at the box office and said that he would like to understand the audience. "If films are not working, it is our fault. It is my fault," he said continuing, "I have to make the changes. I have to understand what the audience wants. I have to dismantle my ways and think (about) what kind of films I should do. Nobody else is to be blamed (for box office failures) but me."
Meanwhile, Cuttputlli will be released exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar on 2nd September and will be available to all platform subscribers. For fans in the U.S, Cuttputlli will stream exclusively on Hulu.
