Alia Bhatt and Shefali Shah starrer Darlings' trailer is here and it is more mysterious than one expected. Along with them, the film stars Vijay Varma and Roshan Mathew in pivotal roles. The trailer was unveiled on Monday.
Badru, a strong-minded woman and her mother decide to take matters in her own hands when it comes to Badru's husband Hamza. What follows next is a hilarious comedy jo thodi dark hain! From the trailer, it seems like Badru is in an abusive sort of relationship and takes charge in her own hands to seek revenge along with her mother played by Shefali Shah.
Darlings is a dark comedy that explores the lives of a mother-daughter duo trying to find their place in Mumbai, seeking courage and love in exceptional circumstances while fighting against all odds. Produced by Gauri Khan, Alia Bhatt, and Gaurav Verma, the film is the debut full-length feature for director Jasmeet K Reen. Darlings also brings together the absolute greats of music- music composer Vishal Bhardwaj and lyricist Gulzar.
Darlings arrives on Netflix on August 5.
