A.R. Rahman's daughter Khatija married Riyasdeen Shaik Mohamed in Chennai last month. On Friday, the family held a reception for the newlyweds in Chennai. Several celebrities and colleagues of A R Rahman from the industry were also present at the reception to bless the couple. Manisha Koirala, Mani Ratnam, Shekhar Kapur, and Sonu Nigam were some of the celebrities who were seen at the wedding reception.
Manisha Koirala took to her Instagram handle to share a picture of herself posing with the newlyweds along with Rahman and his wife. "AR Rahman sir's daughter Khatija's wedding reception was sheer joy... Meeting my colleagues from here really warmed my heart. This celebration has added more to already many lovely memories of Chennai. God bless the newly wed," she wrote.

Khatija, like her father, is also a singer-musician. She has sung a few tracks, including ‘Rock a Bye Baby’ from Mimi.
