Aamir Khan reveals how Laal Singh Chaddha’s 'Kahani' song is influenced by Raj Kapoor’s 'Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai' in new podcast
Aamir Khan added one more feather in his cap by launching his own podcast named 'Laal Singh Chaddha Ki Kahaaniyan where the star talks about the making of his upcoming film and also gives insight on who was originally supposed to sing the song 'Kahani' which was released a few days ago. As a part of an intriguing, avant-garde promotional campaign for the upcoming film directed by Advait Chandan, Aamir Khan gets into the elements of everything that took to compose the musical wonder.
The 17-minute podcast has Aamir Khan talking about creating the song 'Kahani', their music sessions, and how the track was created eventually. Composed by Pritam and written by Amitabh Bhattacharya, the song was conceptualized in Panchgani which is Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao's holiday home. The film has been 14 years in the making, Aamir reveals in the podcast. He also mentions that after working with Amitabh in Dangal, he began recording the music sessions to come up with ideas for Laal Singh Chaddha.
During one of the conversations, Amitabh Bhattacharya asked if the essence of the song could be on the similar lines of Raj Kapoor's Anari’s evergreen song 'Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai'. Aamir agreed with Amitabh amd called 'Kahani' a ‘philosophical’ experience.
Laal Singh Chaddha is produced by Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao, and Viacom18 Studios. The film is all set to release on 11th August 2022 in theatres worldwide.
