Raveena Tandon who was last seen in the recently released film K.G.F- Chapter 2 began her career in the film industry 30 years ago. She made her acting debut with the 1991 film Patthar Ke Phool. While Raveena proved her mettle as an actor with one hit after the other in the 90s, she recently revaled that she is in the industry only by default.
In a recent interview, Raveena said that even though she comes from a film family, she had to start by cleaning or wiping off vomit on the studio floors. She said that she had never thought about becoming an actress and said that her presence in the industry is by default.
Raveena revealed she assisted Prahlad Kakkar after completing her 10th standard. She said that she would clean studio floors and wipe the vomit from the stall floors and studio floors. “Even at that time they used to say what are you doing behind the screen, you have to be in front of the screen, that is what’s meant for you and I would be like ‘no no, me, an actress? Never.’ So I am in this industry actually by default, never grew up thinking that I am going to be an actor," Raveena told Mid-Day.
Raveena also said that it was while working with Kakkar that she thought of becoming a model as the filmmaker would ask her to do makeup and start posing when a model would fail to show up. That is when Raveena thought of earning some money through modeling instead of doing it for free for Kakkar. She then started getting film offers and learned to act, dance, and deliver dialogues along the way.
