Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt Wedding: Alia’s diamond mangalsutra has connection to husband Ranbir's lucky number 8
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt finally got married in a close knit ceremony which took place in Mumbai on April 14. As Alia officially shared pictures online on Thursday evening, the bride's ring and mangalsutra can be spotted revealing all the details.
Alia wore a hand-dyed beige organza saree embroidered with fine tilla work and an embroidered beautiful tissue veil which was hand woven. For jewellery, she chose Sabyasachi Mukherjee's heritage pieces featuring uncut diamonds and hand-strung pearls. She wore an uncut diamond necklace and earrings. She added bangles and kadas to finish the special look.
Alia’s mangalsutra were made with black beads and a gold chain. It had a teardrop shaped diamond pendant along the infinity sign. This was special as Ranbir Kapoor has a lucky connection to the infinity sign, and the number 8.
The Raazi actor took to her Instagram and shared pictures of the special day with a caption, “Today, surrounded by our family and friends, at home … in our favourite spot – the balcony we’ve spent the last 5 years of our relationship – we got married. With so much already behind us, we can’t wait to build more memories together … memories that are full of love, laughter, comfortable silences, movie nights, silly fights, wine delights and Chinese bites. Thank you for all the love and light during this very momentous time in our lives. It has made this moment all the more special. Love, Ranbir and Alia.”
