Jayeshbhai Jordaar Trailer Launch: Shalini Pandey ran away from home to pursue acting: 'My father desired that I pursue a career in engineering'
Shalini Pandey, who will make her Bollywood debut opposite Ranveer Singh in the upcoming film Jayeshbhai Jordaar, has offered a unique account of her journey to becoming an actor. Shalini rose to stardom after starring in Arjun Reddy with Vijay Deverakonda. Additionally, she has acted in Tamil films and Zee5's Hindi film Bamfaad. However, the actress had to fight against her family in order to enter the entertainment world.
Ranveer Singh asked Shalini to speak about her Bollywood career during Tuesday's trailer launch for Jayeshbhai Jordaar. Shalini, then, recounted her father's desire for her to study engineering and how, after years of seeking to convince him, she ultimately chose to flee her home. "She ran away from her family to pursue a career in acting, and today she stands in front of you," Ranveer said. “Kindly describe your journey, Shalini."
"My father intended that I pursue a profession in engineering," Shalini continued. “I attempted it but was unable to pull it off. And my papa was adamant that I not attempt acting. I attempted to persuade him for four years. As a result, I designed a strategy for simply fleeing. Although it appears to be a comedy now, it was rather challenging at the time. As a result, I bolted."
"Fortunately, my parents are fairly proud of me now, owing to Yash Raj, because they believe I am doing a good job," Shalini concluded. “Because my parents and I spent our formative years watching Yash Raj films.”
Jayeshbhai Jordaar casts Ranveer Singh as a married man battling for the life of his unborn daughter, with Shalini Pandey portraying his wife. Boman Irani and Ratna Pathak Shah portray Ranveer's strict parents. The film marks the directorial debut of Divyang Thakkar, an actor-turned-director. Vishal–Shekhar and Amit Trivedi composed the film's music. It is scheduled to launch in theatres on May 13th of this year.
