Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli urge India to unite for 21 days, ask citizens to protect each other amid national lockdown!
Power couple and thought leaders in their own right, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, have again come out to promote a key message of awareness on surging COVID-19 (coronavirus) cases in the country and urged India to unite for the next 21 days to fight the deadly coronavirus.
In a video message to the nation Virat and Anushka highlighted several points for all Indians to note and follow during this 21 day India lockdown. Both expressed that “It will take time to fight coronavirus in India, it will take courage, but most of all it will take a lot of patience and responsibility from all of us for the next 21 days.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his direct and straight-forward speech to the nation last night asked for all the citizens to act towards protecting the nation. Virushka reiterated the same thought saying, “We have to follow some important guidelines for the next 21 days. Stay at home to prevent the virus from entering your home and affecting you and your loved ones. Follow the orders of lockdown seriously because this is an important step to prevent transmission.”
The couple also dispelled some random theories floating around to fight coronavirus. They said, “Coronavirus won’t go away by you participating in a march against coronavirus, by you shouting out aloud and making noise or by you clapping hands. Don’t believe in superstitions, don’t believe in rumours because that won’t give India it’s victory over COVID-19. If you are irresponsible during this 21 day period, then we all, the whole of India, will have to pay a huge price.”
Virat and Anushka ended the video saying, “The whole of India has to stay at home for the next 21 days to save the nation. Let’s all unite to save lives and save our country.”
