In a recent talk with Den of Geek publication, the British actor talked on the subject of a potential sequel and revealed he’d love to see the iconic DC group Court of Owls brought into the sequel. While Warner Bros. has yet to officially announce The Batman 2, Robert Pattinson already knows which villains he wants to face off in the sequel film. Robert was excited, even jovial, about where his Dark Knight might go next. “I’d love to do something like Court of Owls,” Robert said referring to the 2011 DC Comics horror story about a hidden society that’s secretly ruled Gotham from an underground lair for centuries.

The Court of Owls, first appeared in a December 2011 issue of the Batman comics, is a cult-like faction of criminals who wear owl masks and employ undead assassins to do their bidding, would certainly fit into the new Matt Reeves’ version of franchise, “There are elements of The Batman which are kind of horror and I think it really feels quite new for Batman,” Robert shared.

Court of Owls has appeared on-screen previously in the television series Gotham, as well as the animated film Batman vs. Robin, but has yet to make its debut on the big screen. The Court of Owls is also set to be featured in the upcoming Gotham Knights video game.

Matt Reeves’ heavy noir-detective story is set to exclusively hit theaters on March 4. Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz, Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis, Colin Farrell, Peter Sarsgaard and John Turturro star in pivotal roles.
